Vendor Criteria

Use the Vendor Criteria screen to configure preferred, excluded, and display-only vendors. When you select the Vendor Criteria navigation link after selecting an existing car policy on the Car Policies page, the Vendor Criteria screen appears.

This screen lists any preferred, excluded, and display-only vendors configured for this policy. Use the Edit, Copy, and Delete buttons () for each entry to edit, copy, and delete them. Use the add ... property links above each section to create new preferred, excluded, and display-only vendors:

• Preferred Vendors: Vendors to be marked in the search results as in-policy and preferred.
• Excluded Vendors: Vendors that are to be excluded from appearing in the search results.
• Display-Only Vendors: Vendors that are to be the only vendors displayed in the search results. Note: If a display-only car vendor is configured for a geographic location such as EWR but no EWR car vendors exist, all results appear.

Options to configure any vendor as preferred, excluded, or display-only can be limited to specific criteria such as car size, door count, and location. For example, to configure Avis as a preferred vendor, any of the following options could be set:

• All rentals with Avis are preferred, without limitation.
• Only Avis rentals using a specific rate code are preferred.
• Only van rentals with Avis are preferred.
• Only Avis rentals within a specific country are preferred.

Note: After configuring preferred and excluded vendors, be sure to set options for applying policy based on those preferences on the Policy Options and Exclusions page.
